Live 'La Dolce Vita' at The Hay-Adams with Limited-Time "Sunset Spritz" Cocktail Pop-Up

Amalfi Coast meets Top of the Hay's unparalleled view this August

Washington, DC – July 21, 2025 –  The Hay--Adams is offering a summer escape with its debut of "Sunset Spritz," an exclusive cocktail pop-up experience that brings the delightful charm of the Amalfi Coast to the hotel's sought-after Top of the Hay and its view of Washington, D.C.'s most iconic landmarks.

"Sunset Spritz is inspired by the feeling of encountering beauty, charm, and a spectacular view, and what better way to bring that to life than a pop-up inspired by Italian summers and celebrating our stunning location," said Alex Roig, Director of Food & Beverage at The Hay-Adams. "The spontaneity of discovering Sunset Spritz is part of the fun–finding out its open, gathering your friends, and enjoying the ambiance, glass in hand." 

Sunset Spritz will offer a selection of cocktails–including one alcohol-free version – all designed to evoke the flavors and colors of summer on the Amalfi Coast. Created by Jeremiah Frazier, Bar Manager at The Hay-Adams, the pop-up's menu includes:

• Aperol Spritz, with soda water, Aperol, and prosecco
• Venetian Spritz, with soda water, Select Aperitivo, and prosecco
• Averna Spritz, with soda water, amaro, and prosecco
• Campari Spritz, with soda water, Campari, and prosecco
• Italicus Spritz, with soda water, Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto, and prosecco 
• Limoncello Spritz, with soda water, limoncello, and prosecco
• Non-Alcoholic Italian Spritz, with Lyre's Italian Spritz and Fre Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Brut

The first two dates of Sunset Spritz at The Hay-Adams are August 4 and 5, from 4 pm to 8 pm. This limited-time experince will also be offered from 4 pm to 8 pm on select evening throughout August that will be announced weekly, and is first come, first served – no reservations required.
